Same Sex marriage should be legal in all 50 states in the US. (Why should gay marriage be legal in all 50 states?) Specific purpose: To persuade the audience that same sex marriage should be legal in all states.
I. The united states in known for their civil rights and freedom. According to procon. org “ As of May 21, 2013, gay marriage has been legalized in the following 12 states: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Maryland, Maine, Washington, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Minnesota. Thirty-six states have gay marriage bans through either laws or constitutional amendments or both” So why is it so hard for the rest of the 38 states to legalize gay marriage? What is wrong with letting two people of the same sex who are deeply in love and care for each other have the same marriage rights as us heterosexuals do? Many Americans opinions on this subject matter are made up of false assumptions.

a. It will effect the way a child is supposed to be raised b. It is abnormal or unnatural to marry the same sex c. Traditional marriage needs to be protected
