Effective management change essay samples

Organizational change occurs when the managers of an organization decide to change how one or two things are done in the organization. These include restructuring of the organization, shuffling of the staff, and the change of ownership as well. When organizational changes do occur in an organization, there are various changes that do occur in the way things are done in the organization. For technical professionals, organization change may result to changes on how they do undertake their day to day activities including project management.
Organizational change results in a change in which the employees will relate with oneanother. This means that organizational can be said to be personal as it affects individuals in the organization. Sources of organizational changes can be classified as external and internal. External sources of organizational change include: Economic factors, technological factors, socio-cultural factors, political factors and international factors. Internal sources of organizational factors include: people (staff), the organization structure and the organization processes.
There are various challenges that an organization face when they are planning to implement changes in their processes and structures. These barriers can be seen to be encountered at different stages of the implementation process. The challenges include: insufficient time to plan and implement the change; the change may face opposition from various departments and managers hence making it hard to implement; the leaders may lack the required leadership values to lead the staff through the implementation process; lack of commitment by some of the team members; Governance; strategy and purpose; finally, lack of enough funds to complete the implementation process.
Globalization has the world to be a global village. There is easy movement of goods and services from one country to another. As a result of this, technology advancement in one country is diffused fast to another country. Thus, globalization has greatly increased the rate of technological diffusion.
