The Fairmount Mara Safari Resort Club s Introduction This present essay focuses on the resort service, and in particular, it seeks to explore and discuss a specific resort that offers full service of which I personally have special interest in and I would like to visit there some time in my life. I came to know of the Fairmont Mara Safari Resort Club and its website while conducting a research on the great wildebeest migration that occurs annually in East Africa and is considered as the seventh ‘new’ wonder of the world. The Fairmount Mara Safari Resort ClubThis resort club is one of the few resorts that are situated inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Narok County, Kenya. The resort is part of the Fairmount Hotels & Resorts, which is a Canadian-based multinational company operating luxury hotels and resorts. The Mara River surrounds the resort from three sides and its location within the park gives guests a strategic viewpoint of the route that wildebeests usually use during their great migration from the Serengeti Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. This is to say that, the design or architectural concept as well as the construction of the resort was done on a traditional concept rather than the modern concept used by the company in most of its luxury hotels and resorts (The Fairmount Mara Safari Resort Club, 2012). The concept used for inner decorations and fittings in the resort’s rooms also prescribe to the traditional concept, which gives the visitors a natural feel of the local traditional community that lives outside the game reserve. The other significant information obtained from the resort’s website indicates that it also applies the concept of environmental conservation on some of its designs and operations such the use of solar power (The Fairmount Mara Safari Resort Club, 2012). Amenities that the resort offersThe most notable amenity at the Fairmount Mara Safari Resort Club is the luxurious tents that are spread within the park that form a traditional village. The tents have four-poster, pillow-tops beds, and balconies that overlook the Mara River, which is filled with hippos and crocodiles, thereby, giving guests a scenic view and memorable experiences. The second, incredible amenity offered by the resort is the outdoor dining that is offered on a landscape that resembles the Kenyan traditional homesteads. At the outdoor dining, guests are served with African cuisines alongside rich African music from the background.The other notable amenities at the resort include the bar and library that are located inside the resort, which help in enhancing guest experience and comfort since they are also fitted with wireless internet connections. Additionally, the resort also has outside decks that overhang the Mara River, which gives guest a scenic view of the river, including the animals in it.
