Team issue in the case case study samples

Problem identified

Working in teams is an extremely important concept and requirement that can contribute to organizational development and in this case, there is lack of team work which can lead to problems in the organization (Avolio, et.al., 2009). Lack of team work can result in lack of leadership and direction for teams. The idea of team dialogue is to hunt for the best possible way and id that is the right things to do. Team dialogues tend to create a large knowledge pool due to which the dialogue and the individual participants benefit. Tiam has been presenting himself as anauthoritative leader with no idea about how he needs to bring the team together in order to get several of the works done. Missing out on this idea makes him a boss and not a part of the team which is not in synch with the organization’s policy, strategy and need and this can impact the performance of Tiam as well as his team. Leadership is an extremely important aspect of revolutionizing management. Lack of leadership and involvement of Tiam in the team can greatly impact the organization’s performance (Avolio & Gardner, 2005). Senior levels of management focus on overall performance of the organization and its competitive position. In order to create effective business development, leaders focus on operational efficiency as a whole and deal with managers who actually communicate with the team members. In this case it is important that the same be adopted.

Two ways to resolve the problems

Two ways to resolve the problems include leadership as well as participation in the team, its decisions, direction and the processes (Avolio, et.al., 2009). This can help create an effective way of dealing with teams and their issues. It also would help Tiam win the confidence of the members of the team and this can help him be a part of the processes of the organization.
Authentic leadership and several other contemporary styles of leadership are coming into place where in leaders try and ensure that their teams also develop along with the organization. This helps create better focus on the creation of business and achieving of organization’s goals. In this way they consider the satisfaction of the teams as an important part of the organizational development. They also allow members to participate in decision making and help them learn better (Avolio, et.al., 2009).
In case of Tiam, it is essential that there be effective usage of organization resources for which it is important that the organizations members are well organized and united. Leadership is an extremely important element of managing an organization, especially in the present context of high levels of competition. It has become important to create development based on focusing on skill development and motivating people to perform better. If Tiam does not adopt this level of leadership and involvement in teams, he cannot strategically grow with the organization.
Personal and professional competence be demonstrated in terms of appropriate behavior, interpersonal styles and leadership styles at the senior management levels is focused on ensuring that the leaders and senior management understand that their behavior and thought process influences and impacts the team working for them (Robbins, 2012). This can help create better levels of involvement in the organization. The team members look up to these managers and leaders and try to emulate their footsteps. They expect them to be well involved in the teams processes and the organization’s decisions or issuues.
